The subject of this article is the search for individual psychological peculiarities inconsistency between cognitive and socio-psychological development students. relevance topic substantiated by theoretical diversity research on in psychology need socio-cultural skills educational process. A hypothesis advanced that processes socio-personal would be variable, determining methods its resolution. goal lies conjoint analysis personal characteristics assessing students’ development. author applies correlational design, which defined specificity sampling. survey involved 34 students (18 boys 16 girls) Institute Mathematics Computer Science Ural Federal University aged 18-22 (M=18.3 3 SD=0.79). employs psychodiagnostic questionnaires: Aizenka EPI test; short version “Dark Triad Personality” scale adapted M. S. Egorova others; characterological questionnaire G. Schmishek, “Rational-experiential” Epstein T. V. Kornilova, A. Y. Razvalyaeva; Mann-Whitney U-test, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. following gender differences are revealed: female students, generally more interrelated, while pronounced affective personality traits testify to possible tension social communication; male demonstrated greater proneness rational processing information formation engineering skills, weakness integration inner outer Self, may increase narcissistic traits, reduce self-criticism, cause difficulties establishment maintenance contacts. acquired results empirically  prove importance competence, allow differentiating technologies
